Introduction

The 2009 Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE), a bi-annual event that has been held since1991, is the only aerospace and defense related exhibition of it’s kind in Taiwan. Traditionally, the Show featured an indoor exhibition only in the past, however, the 2009 show will consists of an indoor exhibition at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 (TWTC Hall 1), and the aircraft static display at the Songshan Airport Base in downtown Taipei.

The Static Display will be held at the Songshan Air Force Base and will be held in conjunction with the open house of the Air Base. Both the Aircraft Static Display and the Base open house will be opened to the general public free of charge during the weekend of Aug. 15 and 16.  The civil aircraft ( including commercial, business and general aviation aircraft ) will be displayed within the normally restricted Air Base together with the military aircraft for general viewing by the public. Past records of Songshan Air Base open house indicates that a large crowd in the tens and thousands of visitors are expected.
